Hello story-lovers, closet-poets and culture-nerds!

That’s you, isn’t it? Me too. We are the Culture Keepers! I’m Kali, your one-stop shop for all things African Diaspora mixed with some good Latin American dance and stories (and words) with a slightly Southern drawl.

That means I am an African-American storyteller(+) from Charlotte, North Carolina and I tell bilingual stories (English with Spanish) from around the world.

I also write and perform poetry & songs and I teach basic West African, salsa, merengue, bachata and flamenco dances to all ages.

I love elementary school audiences, museum special events, and adult/senior groups. I travel to many cities and states and would love to come to yours.

Now, please:

  • Listen to regularly updated samples of my storylicious, poetic goodness here.
  • To ask me about booking or ask general questions, hit me up here.
  • Visit the Email Club page to get Culture Jewels and event updates.
  • Check the sidebar to the left for my Facebook and Twitter pages (or just click the links). You’ll find more frequent updates there.

Thanks for your time and attention, and be in touch. I’d love to hear from you, even just to say hi! Do that here.

Have a creative day,
